BICE CROCE
$3,300.00
Designed for speed, the Bice Bicycles Croce is a custom-made steel cyclocross racing frame. Tough, light and reactive: the Croce is a trusted racing companion with sorcerous cornering capabilities. Doesn’t matter how many ruts, how muddy, or off-camber that darn corner is, the Croce will be there cheering you to push harder and go faster. This is thanks to its stiff front triangle providing you with precise handling and consequently more reliable cornering capabilities.
The high bottom bracket also adds to the cornering potential of the Croce. Reducing the risk of a pedal strike it allows you to lean into a corner with no fear, pedaling through it all the way. And when you finally do reach an unpedallable obstacle, you can easily throw the Croce over your shoulder to charge up those steps without gouging a hole in your shoulder each time you do. Thank you, Belgian-style cable routing (gear cabling runs along the top of the top tube and under the seat stays).
The frame itself is built to be tough and withstand abuse from flying rocks, gritty mud and all those rugged elements you can encounter during a cx race. Each frame is custom-made to your specifications and biomechanics. Designed to have a cyclocross racing geometry, each Croce comes with a carbon fibre ENVE Cross Disc Fork (Frameset cost starts at 3,300$) . Should you prefer to mount cantilever brakes instead a Ritchey WCS Carbon Cross Disc Fork is included (Frameset cost starts at 3,150$). Also included in the price of the frame is a Chris King Inset7.
In terms of paint, the price of a standard paint job is included in the price of the frame. You have the option of choosing the colors that will be used within the Croce paint-scheme. Additional charges may apply to certain types of paint for example, colorshift, flake, candy. If you wanted to get fancy, I can also provide you with both a quote and mock-up for a custom paint job. Just like getting extra toppings on a pizza, custom paint schemes will cost more depending on the number and type of “toppings”.
